Temporary Operations Service Representative (12 months)

As a Temporary Operations Service Representative, you will work under the direction of the Operations Support Supervisor, or designate, and perform a variety of administrative duties to support the Operations and Engineering departments.

JOB DUTIES

As part of your responsibilities as a Temporary Operations Service Representative, you will:

  • Receive inbound and make outbound calls from/to contractors, customers and London Hydro employees.
  • Receive and dispatch trouble calls to London Hydro Operations crews.
  • Create, dispatch, update, monitor and close service orders in the Customer Information System for upgrades of services, disconnects, layouts, panel changes, repairs, meter installs, meter removals, demolitions, trenching, new services and other, similar tasks.       Update / maintain accuracy of transformer data.
  • Schedule electric meter, overhead and underground disconnects/reconnects, trouble calls and arrange plant locates with other utility companies for various internal departments.
  • Receive, monitor and review ESA-connection authorizations. 
  • Provide administrative support to the Operations Technical Supervisor in the processing of work orders.  Review, track and update work order information.
  • Provide administrative support to the Project Scheduler in the processing of City of London liaison requests, joint use and easement documents.
  • Provide administrative support for Micro-FIT business processes such as, but not limited to account set-up, tracking, invoicing and associated correspondence with customers, contractors and provincial regulators (e.g.  IESO, ESA).
  • Collect, review and organize OEB-required reporting data and prepare reports for Supervisor.
  • Receive and process permits issued from the City of London. 
  • Provide administrative services for the Engineering Department, and other Engineering & Operations departments.
  • Process invoices and receive and process payments from contractors, developers and individuals.
  • Maintain a variety of manual and computerized databases and prepare reports and charts summarizing the information.
  • Create, proof read, update, print and file records, letters, memos, drawings, reports, and legal documents.
  • Provide excellent written and verbal communications when interacting with internal and external customers.
  • Use personal computer and appropriate software proficiently (such as, but not limited to, OMS, CIS, ERP, GIS Viewer and mobile workforce automation). 
  • Maintain a general knowledge of the distribution system and operations documentation.
  • Adhere to all Occupational Health & Safety Act rules and regulations, the E&USA rule book,

London Hydro work practices and London Hydro’s Health & Safety Management System.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

The qualified Temporary Operations Service Representatives we seek for our Dispatch and Operations Administration Department must be able to meet the following requirements:

  • Intermediate working knowledge of Excel and other Google-based programs. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Electrical Utility Engineering & Operations would be an asset.

 

Wage: $22.11 per hour
